First in a series of developing the perfect lounge pant/jogger with pockets. This pair was made by taking our standard Lola legging pattern, adding a bit of room in the legs, adding a folded cuff at the ankle (while keeping the length of the original legging the same) widening the waistband in length to make a cozy high waistband, splitting the leg pattern piece to accommodate a pocket sewn in the seam, and adding a pocket. We also added the cute little moontide brand tag on the waistband.
Results: Since we are a tiny company and use ourselves as fit models and now that we are social distancing, it’s usually the person creating the garment that is also the fit model. I felt that these leggings, although a great first try were far too narrow in the thighs to accommodate pockets on my body. However, for someone with smaller thighs, these would be a great fit! Super cozy and stretchy and plenty of room in the pockets. Your phone will not fall out!
The added cuff at the ankles to the existing length of the legging makes for an extra long pant! They were designed this way so that tall people would not have a length issue and shorter people will have a little extra scrunch in the ankles. This can be useful when doing yoga and you are not quite warmed up yet!
