Actually, it does not.
There are times when we are working with over 500 women in a 3 day period at our shows. Customer after customer we tend to hear, "That color looks terrible on me!". And they migrate over to the navy blues. In fact, I know (90% of the time) that the color would not look terrible on them, it is just not part of their wardrobe history.(and pyschological conditioning) And, as a culture, we are very limited to what color is and can be. We buy commercial dyed fabrics and garments and we learned what red is....
They are coming to our new Hope Street shop and your kids will love them (and you will love them even more). Dyeing children's clothing is so freeing because you can choose any yummy color with any other yummier color and kids automatically LOVE it. So we can take our best and brightest concoctions and put them to great use, without anyone saying, "I really can't wear that color".
For us, a Moon Tide garment is a wonderful way to share color and pattern with the world. As long as we have been dyeing, small details of dyed cloth really make our day. They are like little worlds, living on your shirt, that you walk around with all day long.
This is where we began over 12 years ago. We made a shirt, we put it on, and we felt like flying away. The bold graphic shapes of our resist patterns gave our clothing movement. So we went with it. We made some more t-shirts and they were really cool and fun to wear. It’s exciting to see our brand grow and watch our customers take great delight and awesome flight.
